Yesteryear actress Jyothi Lakshmi (Jothilakshmi) passed away in Chennai after a long battle with cancer. The actress was supposed to start the shooting of Simbu's forthcoming drama Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan.
She made her big screen debut with TR Ramanna's Periya Idathu Penn alongside MGR and Sarojadevi and has acted in over 300 films in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada.
